The Foundation handles all investment and administrative responsibilities for donors and agencies who wish to pursue their mission and provide support to one specific charitable organization. Nonprofit organizations with their own designated fund will benefit by using our capabilities to accept complex gifts and help build a legacy.
Enjoy ongoing involvement in your charitable vision, when you establish a donor advised fund. You will work with our staff to identify possible grants that may benefit a variety of causes and organizations important to you. Your recommendations are submitted to our board for approval, and grants are distributed in the name of your fund. These funds may benefit areas outside of Clinton County and are an excellent alternative to a private foundation, with less hassle and superior tax benefits.
Support a specific area of interest that you define. Once you identify an area of charitable interest (as broad or narrow as you choose), the Foundation evaluates organizations that do the best work in your interest area and then makes grants to the organizations that best fit your interest.
Invest your gift in the county’s future by helping students achieve their academic and career goals, all with the guidance and personal services of our expert team. You determine the criteria students must meet to receive the scholarship, such as a particular school, major, need, academic achievement, or geographic area. Students interested in a scholarship should visit our scholarship portal. The Scholarship Portal for county-wide applications generally opens December 1 with a deadline of March 15.
These funds are donations that provide the Foundation with the most flexibility as they can be used for a variety of purposes. While most unrestricted funds go towards the operating expenses of the Foundation or to a particular project we select, our intent is to steer these resources as they grow to the areas of greatest need in the county.
Donors who establish a fund at the Clinton County Foundation have 24/7 access to fund statements, receipts and invoices via our Fund Advisor Portal.
