During the October 3 Wilmington City Council meeting, Clinton County Foundation President, Joshua Engel, presented Mayor Pat Haley with a First Responders thank you card signed by hundreds of community members. Signatures were collected at the Farmers Market during its September 14 First Responders Day. Foundation Board members invited market attendees to sign an oversized thank you card it created for this special occasion.
“The card was filled with signatures as well as special notes, and the occasion provided people with an opportunity to share personal stories about their experiences with First Responders. The Foundation recognizes how important they are to keeping us all safe,” stated Joshua Engel. ”We chose to sponsor the Farmers Market that week because it provided us with an opportunity to show our support for First Responders as well. This was a small gesture to show them just how grateful we are as a community,” he continued.
