Wilmington Christian Academy welcomed representatives from the Clinton County Foundation and the Bush Fund to campus Tuesday for a campus tour and grant presentation. Last Spring, Wilmington Christian identified a need for a speaker system for their common area to support presentations. Daily chapel, regular musicals, and family events will all benefit from amplified sound in their larger spaces and will allow the campus to bring musical presentations back on campus instead of bussing around town. The Bush Fund at the Clinton County Foundation met the need and the equipment was installed over the summer.
Students and staff welcomed Mark and Joey Bush, representing the Bush Fund, and Mark Kraus, Lynn Deatherage, and Destiny Allen from the Clinton County Foundation to campus. Students and teachers in first and second grade welcomed them to morning chapel services to see the sound system at work.
Administrators receiving the grant award include assistant principal Bob MacLeod, principal Danae McKain, and head of school Bill Davis, along with presenters Mark Kraus, Mark Bush, and Joey Bush.
